Finally the season is here. Hopefully the off season emphasis on conditioning pays off hugely. Flyers have as tough a schedule as there is coming out of the gate and if they are in better shape than their opponents, it could be a very positive factor.

Getting off to a good start will help build confidence and hopefully get them rolling towards the winter months.

Here we go! Very excited for today.

With Krejci out, I think the Flyers are actually stronger than the Bruins up the middle. It ain't much, but every little bit helps!

- Flyers will either be the last team in or first team out of the playoffs.
- Steve Mason will continue to be a reliable NHL starting goalie.
- Couturier will score 50+ points.
- Lecavalier will bounce back and score 60 points in 70 games.
- Ghost and Laughton will play more than 20 games each this season.

Bold predictions that make me look like a genius if I'm right but it's ok if I'm wrong because I'm stating that they're long shots ahead of time:
- The Flyers will win the division.
- Claude Giroux will score 100+ points.
- Michael Del Zotto will reemerge as a legitimate offensive defenseman.
- Brayden Schenn will be traded because he can't play left wing.
- Craig Berube will be fired
- The Flyers goal song will be "Magical Mr. Mistoffelees" from the play Cats.

On a different note, why are the Bruins healthy scratching Subban? Should he be- I dunno...seasoning in the minors?
